The course Civilisations of the Target Language offers an overview of the history of Great Britain. It engages in describing and explaining the historical events that characterised the period between the early ages and the late Middle Ages. This period explores the social, economic and political life of the early and late settlers in the British Isles. The course also includes an overview of the history of the United States of America. It explains the early explorations, the thirteen colonies and slavery. This course helps students learn the history of Britain and the United States of America. It also helps improve their language skills (listening, speaking, reading and writing) through various interactive exercises.

This course explores linguistics and phonetics to explain the physiological production of consonants. The course aims to help students of first-year English to understand the physiological production of speech sounds and discover the articulatory realization of sounds.

The course includes four chapters that define and explain phonetics and linguistics on the one hand and explore the classification of consonant sounds on the other hand. Therefore, Chapter 1 defines language. Chapter 2 explains linguistics. Chapter 3 examines phonetics and speech organs to explore the articulation of sounds. Chapter 4 explains the classification of consonants based on their physical production. 



In this lesson I will help students to understand the meaning of state verb by explaining that it means a 'non-action' verb. Students will eventually recognize instinctively what is a state or an action verb. Meanwhile, they will be encouraged to learn a list of state verbs.
