English module or ESP – teaching English for specific purpose- is specialized branch of English language teaching that focuses on providing language skills and communication abilities tailored to meet the specific needs and requirements of learners in specific professional or academic fields. For students who study science-related courses, ESP would involve teaching English language skills and vocabulary that are directly relevant to their scientific discipline. This could range from teaching them basic technical terminology to more complex levels such as writing scientific content, reading research articles, presenting scientific findings, and engaging in academic discussions related to their field of study in English. Concerning Exact Sciences students, Mathematics in this case, the goal of ESP is to enable students to effectively use English in their professional or academic settings, enhancing their ability to communicate, collaborate, and excel in their respective scientific fields.
