The acquisition of a language relies heavily on grammar, as it forms the foundation of both understanding and the production of meaningful communication. Grammar not only facilitates comprehension but also ensures coherence in written and oral expression. For learners of English as a Foreign Language (EFL), mastering grammar is therefore essential in order to develop both accuracy and fluency.

This course, designed for second-year undergraduate students, introduces the fundamental aspects of English grammar through a structured progression in five key chapters. Students will begin with the parts of speech, the basic elements of language, before moving on to sentence structure, where meaning takes shape. The study will then focus on conjunctions, indispensable tools for linking ideas, followed by clauses, which bring depth and complexity to expression. Finally, students will explore punctuation, a system of markers that ensures clarity and precision in communication.

By the end of this course, students will not only have acquired a solid command of English grammar but will also be able to apply it effectively in academic, professional, and everyday contexts.
